Gorgeous lighting and subject :) Next time put your battery down your pants (between your thighs) or under your hat on top of your head-It will heat up REAL QUICK and get u a couple more shots :)

Thanks for the comments guys, and thanks for the tip Belinda. Despite the cold I think I will venture back north and try it out soon. It really pays off when you get nice shots…. and a hot toddy or three when you get back indoors.

Just wonderful. I lived there for a ear -knitted muffs for my headphones and wrapped the walkman in a thermal food bag so understand your dilema.

Great shot, it take me back to my trip to Lapland Finaland also last December. Amazing place and a shot which matches, you have captured the colours in the sky perfectly, I can understand why you want to go back, the opertunities fro photographs are endless, one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Again great shot, superb colour capture and great detail, well done.

Brilliant – we had a herd of reindeer introduced to the Highlands in the 60s in Scotland . They came from Norway originally but as we have the lichen they eat the herd has multiplied and is growing strong. Love this capture and the b/g is stunning.Love it. Liz
