Oblivious
(Embankment, London).
This poor man seemed oblivious to the shower we had just had and the heavens that were about to open. Then again, maybe that was the least of his worries. I felt a bit guilty taking this shot and have never taken candid shots of others before, let alone without asking. I took it very quickly (as you can tell) and moved on. Initially I was disappointed with the taxi in the background but it almost seems fitting to show the contrast between him going nowhere right now and life whizzing passed without him even noticing. I’m now in the warm at home and probably about to have a little G&T soon… I wonder where he is or what he’s doing right now.

Great capture – I too like the contrast of the sleeping man and the speeding car – makes me wonder where both are headed on their respeective travels …a real talking point – well done :o)

Great capture! The motion of the car in the background against the sleeping man is brilliant!

Isn’t it amasing that this bloke is sleeping on that ornate bench, which probably cost more than the entirety of his baggage. His shoes tell a story.
Did he have smelly feet, or were you up-wind for this shot?

great image,,his shoes caught my eye

I think the taxi is very fitting too, great b/w lovely tones,
his skin tones are amazing. Great capture, don’t feel guilty about taking anything on a public highway because it’s totally legal and I know a professional photographer that has had many a book printed with pictures of such. Great addition to the As Is group
