After my eldest son was diagnosed with ADD and i don’t agree with him being medicated because of this:

So I looked into changing his diet instead, as an alternative. So tonight whilst doing my online shopping and checking all the ingredients on each item (which took 3 hours!) I was horrifyed to discover that most fruit juice/squash drinks contain “Sodium Metabisulphite.”
Checking it on the UK food guide for additives it says:
Preservative.
May cause allergic reactions, particularly skin irritation, gastric irritation and asthma.
“Not recommended for consumption by children”
How is it ok for drinks makers such as Ocean spray, Sainsbury’s, Robinsons and Tesco’s to have this in our childrens drinks?

we put so much faith into those who produce our food, and the supermarkets that compell us to buy such products.
It seems at times we are powerless.
It only takes one greedy corporation with a hidden agenda…...(think of giants like Monsanto) and the effects are global and can change the path of a whole generation, if not the human race.
I have an intellectually handicapped daughter, brought about by a reaction to an immunisation program….. that speaks for itself. All of the above drugs, have had side effects on her, and I have not pursued any medication to help her…she is a happier and healthier girl for not having chemicals introduced into her body any more…...(sad to say, the damage was done)
Thanks for this reminder that we should all be aware and vigilant….and not take things for granted.

my nephew was diagnosed as having adhd, same thing – offers of drugs from pharmaceutical/govt. endorsed companies… for money n control…
i had such a battle trying to get rest of family to not go wt doctors diagnosis or advice.
he was not at all deficient in attention when we’d sit doing woodwork/working wt animals etc.
he was sensitive to foods n chemicals (i once was a nutritional therapist – yet still they not believe me – even when showed the links between certain lobbies, n twisted/hidden reports…)
n school – sit still n regurgitate the (utterly ridiculous :
) ) curiculum all day… well what natural person wouldnt have trouble wt that – especially if their entire body/mind full of toxins)adding more, in the form of drugs for ‘behaviour’, is just another example of how detached from reality our society seems t be getting – plenty of time for mind-altering drugs in our teens n beyond.
did y know that there are only 25 major food companies in t world, just got many faces/guises – follow the links to agriculture, t w.h.o, to the governments…
a w.h.o/food standards agency report a few years ago, with matching educational video for schools, said that the foods wt higest sugar content were cucumber n brown bread! (coz the government said the original report was not pleasing to the food companies, n would withdraw funding from who if unchanged… if you dehydrate cucumber, it’s fructose content is high… but not glucose, n we dont tend to consume our cucumbers in that way…) hmm.

(alongside diet, i would recommend seeing if cranial osteopathy (soooo gentle a thing) helps (if you can afford it/nhs it).
