That title sounds so deep….as it should, as up to 10 feet of snow is expected in the Sierras. This is supposed to be the biggest storm we have had in 50 years, which is longer than my life time, and only slightly less than my parents.
Just thinking about it brings back memories of sitting in the back seat of the car and going past walls of snow. It was mesmerizing. As strange as it sounds I felt so safe riding past those walls of snow…that was home!
We kept those saucer sleds under the deck…our house was on a hill, and we were lucky enough to be able to sled in our own backyard!
Being snowed-in was so much fun…no one could go to school, no one could go to work, and all there was to do all day was sled and play with my dolls in front of the patio door, watching the snow falling. Sometimes we would sleep in the living room with the patio curtains open and watch it fall in the dark. That was such bliss!
I am quite certain that Lake Tahoe has to be the most perfect place in the world. I must have been born under a lucky star , being so blessed as to have grow up there.

Wow, that sounds like fun. I love the snow. Since I moved to Delaware I hardly see it anymore. Good luck and enjoy :)

Ah, Trish… I can relate! I grew up in the midwest and I have very fond memories of the exact same kinda thing. Ah… the good ol’ days. ;)
