Orla Cahill
Congratulations Ken. Such a superb job. I love the delicate daisies. Every bit of it is wonderful. :)
Ken Tregoning
Orla what can I say but thank you I am so glad that it is liked as much as I loved painting it, probably and more I hope, ó¿ó smile
Randy Sprout
The shadow and reflected light back into the face at the lower right is very well seen and realized.
Ken Tregoning
Thanks Randy it is dificult when a subject faces away from the direct light to judge the ammount to the right degree, sometimes it is more trial than error, I find washing an overpaint some degree lighter for when it dries it can appear darker in acrylics.
It is a totaly different story with Oils & watercolours.
Alexandra Felgate
Beautifully done Ken, love the finished work!
Ken Tregoning
Alexandra thank you for your words they give me hope that I am going in the right direction, thanks

Hi Ken, this is wonderful, one of the best ‘classic’ style painting works I’ve seen on RB – beautiful work :)
Ken Tregoning replied
David, Summer is a traditional american style turn of the century painting, I cant paint the way they do so I just do it my way, I’m glad you like it.

Colin Cartwright
Superb and huge….I think. I’m not too are about these strange ‘mm’. I like good old fashioned inches. But this must be about a yard long?
As a fellow painter – albeit just beginning – I can see the work involved here. Sky tones, dress folds and sky and water details. Outstanding, Ken.
Adding you to my watchlist of fine artists.
Ken Tregoning replied
Collin 1 1000mm is 1 meter and that is approx 39 1/2” your work looks well and truly executed and not at all amaturish I would say a fellow Artist assured, Thanks Collin for your adding me and your words I appreciate them.
Jim Phillips
Wonderful work Ken, I immediately added you to my watchlist. I look forward towards viewing more of your beautiful work.
Ken Tregoning replied
Jim I thank you sincerely for your adding me and your comments on my work. Regards Ken

I can almost breathe in the fresh, summer breezes, and hear the waves gently lapping upon the shore. Amazing work- delicate portraits, lovely composition!

Again I am at the mercy of the elements whether I am writing poetry or being pedantic in my art, one day I might just get it right for myself mostly I never think they’re finished enough, and knowing when to stop is not my best aptitude, So Grace you are gracious in your lovely comments and I thank you.
