I had a lovely day with some dear friends painting this delightful scene in the Yorkshire Wolds. This old railway line was a victim of the infamous Dr Beeching in the sixties – but the station house was left behind.
The day was a bit grey but we didn’t get wet!
This 20″ × 16″ watercolour was painted with Windsor & Newton artists paints on Saunders Waterford 140lb NOT paper.

sixties, watercolour, enthorpe, railway station, yorkshire wolds, railways

As a painter of light, legend and landscape I am indebted to the wonderful medium of watercolour which gives me the versatility to incorporate many different styles in to my work.
