Lake Tranquility by Moonlight by Glenn Marshall

Available to buy on…

This was ’ Lake Tranquility’ taken a stage further the following week on the next workshop.
Moonlight of course adds a new dimension and while this still contained many different techniques, the main challenge was working with a more limited pallette.
This watercolour was painted on Saunders Waterford 140lb NOT with W & N artists paints.

lake, moonlight, reflections, tranquility, watercolour workshops

As a painter of light, legend and landscape I am indebted to the wonderful medium of watercolour which gives me the versatility to incorporate many different styles in to my work.

Such a wonderful scene and mood, Glenn. Love the monochromatic colour scheme and the sense of peace.

  • Thanks Bev,
Glad you like it – working with a limited palette guarantees harmony in a painting if nothing else.
