Light inspires me,
Legend intrigues me
Landscape involves me

I am a professional watercolour artist who literally fell into art by accident – from a ladder! I became a full time artist in 2003. This gave me time and opportunity to develop my own style from studying the paintings of artists I admire…from Ashley Jackson I learned tonal values, from Turner the importance of light, from Nita Engle the freedom of mask and wash and finally just this year from David Hockney – the importance of making marks .I work exclusively in watercolour as this most versatile of mediums enables me to capture the mood and light which is the central theme of my paintings.I am a professional associate of the SAA and conduct classes and workshops for all abilites. I also do demonstrations and workshops with art societies.
