Britannia Falls by Travis Easton

This lovely spot is a five minute drive from the school I work at on Tuesdays.

Australia’s rugged landscape is an important part of my life and over many years I have explored some of the more remote parts of it on foot, ski, kayak and rope. I usually travel alone so I can take my time capturing the essence of these places without distraction. Life slows down and after a while I feel like I begin to merge with the land, nature takes me into her confidence and changes me. I hope you enjoy the fruit of these excursions.

Wish I worked near a waterfall…the most exciting thing near my work is an overpriced milk bar :-(
Great shot – hope you got drenched!

  • Usually I waterfall hunt in waders, ironically at the last waterfall I visited my waders leaked so they effectively kept me wet rather than dry, mphff. Last time I visited this drop I was walking down the face with waders on that had far less grip than the bots I’m used too resulting in a sudden slip I was totally unprepared for. The camera bag on my back hit the rocks before my ass, fortunately I only broke a filter rather than a lens but still annoying. Much more careful in these slippery buggers now.
