Cement Creek is about 10 minutes outside of Warburton in the Yarra Valley. Beautiful little spot which is very popular with photographers but hopefully I’ve found a new angle on it here.

Australia’s rugged landscape is an important part of my life and over many years I have explored some of the more remote parts of it on foot, ski, kayak and rope. I usually travel alone so I can take my time capturing the essence of these places without distraction. Life slows down and after a while I feel like I begin to merge with the land, nature takes me into her confidence and changes me. I hope you enjoy the fruit of these excursions.

Magic Travis, lovely to see this beautiful photogenic creek is still like this. Wasnt sure if it had escaped the fires or not.

  • Hi Garth,

It was certainly in the firing line as illustrated by the massive fire break they built just a few km up stream from here in the headwaters but due to a bit of luck and good old hard work by the cfa it was saved fortunately.

    Very nice shot Trav.
It’s the spot I call “Bridal Veil Rock”.
Need to get up that way again soon.

  • This rock is almost too perfect, the beautiful way it veils off always captivates me. Nature seems to always do the best landscape gardening.
