Watsons Crag Sunset
Watsons Crags are in Kosciuszko National Park and in my opinion is the most spectacular alpine ridge line in Australia. On this particular occassion I had spent the day skiing out from Thredbo to camp at the frozen Lake Albina on a spectacular little knoll overlooking the Crags. This shot was taken halfway through dinner at my personal restaurant. The heater at the restaurant was pathetic, but the view…

Yerr right, Jesh only took me 16 days to spot the name connection. If there was a competition for dumb landscape photographer of the year I’d be a shoe in.
A couple of days ago a girl called Rhona commented on a shot of Lake Rhona I took and she was literally named after it.
Luka Skracic
Such a beautiful scene, wow, an epic landscape.
Mui-Ling Teh
Wow love colors; this is deceivingly warm looking shot.
Travis Easton replied
Hi Mui-Ling, It does look warm doesn’t it. Wouldn’t want to be there without a pretty serious sleeping bag and matt though. Thanks for the comment.
Mariann Kovats

Wildwings
Simply magnificent! The violet colors really add to the beauty of the shot. This is an instant favorite for me.

Travis, this is stunning, the clarity of your shot and the colors are all fabulous. Your commentary is excellent as well, it briefly states what needs to be said about your photo, and I like them short and to the point. Excellent in all respects. – Cora

I’m a Thredbo skier too – I can relate to this completely! I like the way that the pink light from the end of the sunset reflecting on the snow really highlights the folds in the crag.
Travis Easton replied
Ironically I have never skiied at Thredbo only through it on my way out into the back country. Ramshead Range just behind thredbo is so spectacular, have you skiied up there or out to Albina?
redrosedigital
I’m a downhill skier, Travis. I look at the Ramshead Range with awe. You have opportunities to see wonderful scenery that us downhillers just don’t get.
Mindy Miller
