What a truly magnificent shot – The light inside the cove is just spot on perfect. The way the roof is lit and frames the shot perfectly is gorgeous.

The blues in the sky are rich and compliment the lovely tones and colours of the rocks so well

Excellent perspective and composition. Beautiful light and color. A well seen and captured image. Consider a selection of the front rock and adjust levels a tad, just to bring some details on it. Overall a wonderful image with excellent clarity and appeal.

I love it! Your right about the composition. We were contemplating the long drive to wave rock for a photo shoot but decided against it as we had felt this scene been photographed to death. But we never saw a composition like this one, well done!

Hi Jen and Paul, Wave rock is purely a descriptive term for the shape of the rock in this picture (created with the aid of a fisheye lens and renamed after a comment from ‘Evolve’ above)). It was taken on Pillar Point at Wilsons Prom, Victoria. There is a rock formation in WA I believe called wave rock but I have never been there. Thanks for the comments, love your Kosciuszko pics.

I know… spins me out too, For some reason people have just gravitated to it. Most of my work gets that initial flurry and then kind of sits there with an occassional visit but for some reason this one has maintained a steady stream. It doesn’t particularly stand out to me personally from my other work, interesting this bubble thing hey. Thanks for the comments.

Ah the Prom, thank you for taking this photo, pure magic! I lived in an old farmhouse overlooking Wilson’s Promontory for $10 a week back in 1978… I loved it, the view was sublime with rainbows stretching across the sky almost every day. I could see if the waves were working from the bay window but had to leave in mid June when the winds blew in straight through from the Antarctic.
