Lovely Trav. I’ll definitely try and get there. The only thing is it’s such a long way to go (from Melb) and you don’t know if the sun will do the right thing by you when you get there. But that’s photography I guess :)

  • Travis Easton replied

Some of my most treasured photographs are of locations that I’ve shot again and again and often after a huge amount of effort to get there. Then finally you’re in the right spot with the right light. I reckon the misses and to the value of the hits… Cheers

Nicely held detail in the rocks, which could have been lost were it not for careful exposure settings.
    Well done!!

Precarious possies are often the best and you were right – this composition with the contrasting textures and colour of the vegetation, rocks and sea is Goldie Locks.

Travis, oops, I mean Young Jedi Knight, I am liking you more all the time. I love the comment that you had to get into a precarious position to get this shot. Half the time I go off on a shoot my wife wonders if I will ever come back. She is not as nervous as she use to be and I am not quite as much of a risk taker as I have been in the past. I guess that happens with age and kids you have to look out for. When we first got married she would cringe as I would hang over the edge of the Grand Canyon or some other place that had similar perils involved. Yoda

  • Travis Easton replied

    Cheers Yoda,

My wife is an extremely accomplished worrier in a long line of worriers and over the years I have learned that too much information is a bad thing. Last week our daughter scratched her leg in a garden patch in the back yard and was screaming her head off why I was in the loo. My wife was so scared of going into the garden patch that she couldn’t rescue our screaming 4 y.o. Afterwards she said I know you don’t understand…. yup.

She is a wonderful woman and I love her dearly but I have come to realize we will never go on multi day off track walks together, (or for that matter sleep in a tent together), just hoping as me and the kids get into these things more and more she will want to join us as some stage.

    Cheers

    Trav

Another superb shot of this place, how hard/far is it to get to this spot Travis ?
Been to Phillip Island a couple of month ago on our way home but had not the time to go to this spot and it seemed to be a very long walking distance from the car park or was I mistaken ? is there a car park near by ? Cheers

  • Travis Easton replied

Hi Hans, it’s not that far maybe 30mins on a well made track, certainly worth a visit, cheers.
