Balancing Rock
I found balancing rock on the Vereker Range at Wilsons Promontory, Victoria, Australia. To get to this vantage point I had to climb a tree onto an adjacent boulder. This involved getting a considerable height off the ground using the very thin upper story of the tree. On top the view as you can see was spectacular and not wanting my friend to miss out I tried to convince him to come up and join me. Mick however would have no part in such a foolhardy venture (I wonder if owning a camera is a health hazzard? ;-)

Just begging to be given a nudge – isn’t it interesting how dynamic a shot of a rock can be. Superb.
Travis Easton replied
Jim the ex head ranger down there upon seeing this shot informed me that a few people have tried to nudge it over, it is quite massive however and has easily resisted all attempts.
