Webb Bridge Blue
Number three in my Webb bridge series of three.
Don’t usually go in for the highly manipulated image thing but strangely I don’t have the same qualms about messing with something man made. Had never heard of this place until I found a few pics of it on the bubble and thought I’d check it out. Don’t really like duplicating the work of others either so I’ve used photoshop to give it a bit of a fresh perspective.
Webb bridge is in a really exclusive part of town next to a marina full of multi million dollar yachts. The design of the bridge is based on a aboriginal fish trap. On the way back to the car I passed a ‘car yard’ for luxury cards. There were only three cars in the showroom one of them had a ‘B’ with eagle wings sprouting from it, a brand I’d never come across before (a Bentley according to Steven Guy ). I thought it looked pretty nice for $39,900 and then my brain did a double take wait a minute… that’s not… holy crap it’s $399,000!?

this is stunning, I have never seen anything like this before…as to the blurb on the Bentley WOW 399,000 is a whole lot of cash just for a car lol, im happy with my 2 door car – and it sure didnt cost that much haha

Hi Alex, thanks for droppin’ by, the fav’s and the spelling correction. Do you get 10x the car for 10x the price I wonder?

Very much enjoying this web bridge series Travis – what an amazing structure and the way you’ve photographed and processed it is spot on for it I think. Beautiful and psychedelic.
Blows my mind what people will spend their money on – $399K for four wheels and an engine that will spend most of its existence idling in traffic jams along with $5K Excels like mine. Sigh -the perversity of human desires.

Western consumerist excess in a world where so many lack the basic necessities of life to me seems kind of immoral, but were all guilty of it on one level or another I suppose. On the other hand if Bill Gates had one I wouldn’t find it immoral because his philanthropist credentials kind of outweigh the excess. Bit perverse all the same.

Hey travis i live in Bentleigh does that count….lol nice series.
AlexMac
well I suppose you get a few extra bonuses like leather seats etc, but i bet mine is more fuel efficiant, it costs $25 to fill and that lasts me 2 weeks :0)

I’ve actually flattened the camera with a level but the fisheye perspective makes it look pretty twisted, thanks for droppin by.
