Taken from a moving train (The Rocky Mountaineer) trying to shoot between the trees along the railway tracks. Mt Robson is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3954 metres. There is some debate about who first climbed it and when, however the first definite conquest was in 1911 by an Austrian mountain guide, Conrad Kain, with two members of the Alpine Club of Canada. Since then Mt Robson has attracted climbersfrom around the world, but reaching the peak is a rare event!
Mt Robson is found in the Mt Robson Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada.

Ian, this park is in BC. But what a lovely scene, how did you like the Rocky Mountaineer? I’ve only traveled the VIA in my lifetime. this is a wonderful sight to see just per chance off the train. Well done
Vickie thanks correcting my geography,I have changed the wording accordingly. The train ride was fantastic, as was the service.

that’s OK Ian, it can still be submitted to Canadiana group, we’ll be happy to look at it there :-))

Stunning shot of this beautiful area, I must pay a visit one day!! Did you organise the trip yourself or were you part of a group?
Thanks Shaun. The Rocky Mountaineer is a tourist train ride which you need to book before heading to Canada, I think it is one of the great journeys in the world. We booked it through a travel agent, but met people who had done it all by themselves.
