Stormbringer #2

Stormbringer #2

[reload of an old image]

The old man is stooped,
cold breath at his back.
Eyes empty,
he brings the storm
upon frail shoulders ready to break.

When he passed the rain came down.

What a fantastic shot Chris! Love the tones, light, mood and composition. I guess we all have days when we feel like there is a big black cloud hanging over us! Well done!

    Thanks Sylvia!
    Thanks Damian!

This was taken on the path along the cliffs at Bondi. There was such a sinister charge in the air on this afternoon, and when we saw this old man approach I barely had time to whip out the camera, frame and focus. The sky really did open after this with a clap of thunder, and we were caught in a downpour.

Wow – that’s one hell of a sky Chris. Very broody and you’ve captured the light perfectly.

Thanks Flamejob. The original was a bit on the flat side because I shot it on auto due to time constraints, it took a bit of fiddling to really bring the menace out. BTW, I’ve realy been enjoying your work.

A very moody and evocative image. Wow, I wish the old man would walk through Melbourne with his cold, storm-bringing breath this week – I am holidaying down here, and it is stinking hot!
Hey, congrats on the exhibition. I came along to the opening last night – nice work, BAA!
