“rhythm and grace” is an original painting. It is painted with lavender and black ink brush pens. The original measures 8″ × 12″" and is on off white textured watercolor paper.
I am inspired by the elegance and simplicity of japanese ‘sumi-e’ and chinese ‘shui-mo hua’ paintings.
This ‘one stroke style’ painting is from my ‘Beauty of Bamboo’ series. The bamboo is a magnificent gift from nature. My paintings bring me peace and help to relax my soul.
Bend with the wind,
grow with ease,
reach for the heavens,
embrace the sun.

I studied illustration and design at The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. I am married and the mother of two wonderful boys; one is in college and the other in High School. Since they are growing up, I have more time to myself which I enjoy channeling into my drawing and painting.
I am inspired by the elegance and simplicity of japanese ‘sumi-e’ and Chinese ‘shui-mo hua’ painting. I love the grace and beauty of bamboo.
