“Beauty” sumi-e ink brush pen painting.
Circling the flexible state of being…
“Beauty” is an original painting using a black ink brush pen. It measures 8-1/2” x 11” and is on heavy stock, textured cream colored paper.
I am inspired by the elegance and simplicity of japanese ‘sumi-e’ and chinese ‘shui-mo hua’ paintings. This painting is from my ‘Beauty of Bamboo’ series.

I studied illustration and design at The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. I am married and the mother of two wonderful boys; one is in college and the other in High School. Since they are growing up, I have more time to myself which I enjoy channeling into my drawing and painting.
