I named this painting after my favorite brown rice tea, Genmai Cha…it’s delicious, warm and very healthy to drink.
I painted this using a small, brown brush pen.
I studied illustration and design at The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. I am married and the mother of two wonderful boys; one is in college and the other in High School. Since they are growing up, I have more time to myself which I enjoy channeling into my drawing and painting.
I am inspired by the elegance and simplicity of japanese ‘sumi-e’ and Chinese ‘shui-mo hua’ painting. I love the grace and beauty of bamboo.

I love your bamboo portfolio. This is one of my favorites. Also love brown rice tea. Not a big fan of Disney however (sorry).
