This is Mimi, one of three kittens from a farmers wife who gives us a lot of help rescuing cats and kittens.
We get all rescue cats and kittens virus tested.
Sadly these three kittens are positive FIV.Which is the cat version HIV in humans.
They will be tested again at sixteen weeks, and they may wll be negative.
This is another important reason why cats should be spayed or neatured. It stops them fighting and spreding these serious problems.
There are people out there who want FIV cats.
Providing the cats are kept indoors, things are ok.
Away from other cats, they cannot spread FIV.
Some people who have an FIV cat ask us for another,to keep thier cat company.Which is nice.
