My dad (at age 45) and my daughter, Shannon (at age 2-1/2) in August 1981 at my younger sister’s wedding. Dad’s 73 now and Shannon is 30. 3rd, but she’ll always be “Grandpa’s Girl.” When Shannon got married 2 years ago, she danced with her Grandpa. For Christmas, Shannon sent him a double frame with this photo on one side, and her dancing with him at her own wedding on the other side. It is proudly displayed on his television set.

Thanks so much, Samantha! He did get a bit teary-eyed when he got the mail and opened it (Shannon moved to Florida eight years ago and her grandpa lives in Indiana, so they don’t see each other much anymore).
