Seems everyone has their own unique view of last night’s Super Moon… this is one of the shots I took as the moon just came over the horizon. Taken from my own backyard in Kingaroy Queensland, Australia, on a crystal clear evening, with the Nikon D90, Sigma 150-500mm lens on full extension.

your backyard??? I would give a lot to be in nature too. lucky you!
hey! you are a science-fiction fan? me too, big time! the best for sure!!

  • I adore Sci-Fi… grew up with Dr.Who and expanded from there. We only live on an acre, but all the properties around us are averages as well, so this shot was strategically places between roof tops :)

    It looks HUGE!

  • It really did look huge as it peaked over the horizon… as it got higher in the sky it got smaller and smaller.
