Tracy …this is wonderful….now being a little older the first thing that popped into my 60’s mind was …Janis Joplin…your hair ,your pose,your attitude, put on some old round framed sunglasses and a bottle of Jack in your hand and you could easily get the part …..she did a song called “Little Girl Blue” that you should look up and listen to while you look at this ….I did and they go together very well…...in other words …one of your best …YOU ROCKED THIS ONE….Steve

Tracey, you are fast becoming my reference for compositional perfection. Lots of people don’t realize how important composition is to portraiture, but there are certain things you do in your SPs that do strongly support what you want us to get out of your images. I will survive… strength of character built up from rock bottom. How the triangle works as a shape that implies strength is bulit up from your hands on your knees and culminates at the defyant look in your eyes… your arms and shoulders as butresses providing additional support. Kinda like cathedral architecture…

But what if we don’t give a rat’s butt about triangles and cathedrals and stuff? We’re still left with beautiful tones, an engaging pose, a gorgeous face surrounded by all that amazing hair and a stunning processing technique… could be RB’s been slow since you posted this cause anyone who’s seen it is having as much trouble as me moving from the page.
I thought it couldn’t get any better than your last one… but congrats, it just farken did!

As for the song… for me this isn’t about breaking away from a hurtful lover. It’s about ‘saving all your lovin’ for someone who’s lovin’ you’. I look at this and think, jeeze, what’s not to love?!

And Steve’s Janis Joplin’s thing? Yeah, maybe there’s a bit of that goin’ on. I’m sure there’s a way you could sneak a bottle of JD in there without messin’ up the composition…
