Tracey, what a wonderfully fitting image to create the day after your birthday. Doesn’t matter what age we are… it is forever possible for us to be reborn and climb out of our shells.
I love the atmospere you create with your processing style, but as a big fan of collage I’m totally blown away by how you self-directed this shot and posed yourself to fit the shape of the shell… especially the positioning of your hands.
This is the work of a passionate artist and your knack for making us feel your emotion is what makes your art so compelling.
Makes me wonder who was in the other egg…

If you could have seen me setting the shot up, trying to climb out of a crate and get my hands in the right places, you would have had a good laugh! Im still surprised I got it right, and was really happy that it actually worked!
I had the little eggs up really high on a shelf in my study, only to come in the other day and find them all crunched up and chewed on the floor, Ash had decided they were still alive and masacred them!!
