Reach for the Light

Deep in the night
The winds blow cold
And in a heartbeat
The fear takes hold

Deep in the storm
There’s a place that’s soft and still
Where the road waits to be taken
If you only will

The voices inside you
Can lead your soul astray
Believe in what you dream
Don’t turn away
Don’t you turn away

Reach for the light
You might touch the sky
Stand on the mountaintop
And see yourself flying
Reach for the light
To capture a star
Come out of the darkness
And find out who you are

Somewhere in time
The truth shines through
And the spirit knows
What it has to do

Somewhere in you
There’s a power with no name
It can rise to meet the moment
And burn like a flame

And you can be stronger
Than anything you know
Hold on to what you see
Don’t let it go
Don’t you let it go

Now, there’s no turning back
When your destiny is calling
Listen to the thunder roll
And let your heart break free

love this!!! very sensuous but you seem sad in a way, BUT very very mysterious. i love the soft
transparent fabric, goes well with the title- allowing light to pass through and touch you but still covered and some what protect. the left hand is perfect!!! don’t know if you know but the right hand is the giving hand and the left is the receiving hand. so (reaching for the light) – left hand out receiving the light also near the heart. more then 90% of body is covered as if not sure being open for the light, only one eye is exposed- looking for the light as if maybe i’m ready for the light of love but still not sure. love this!!! SORRY, i can go on and on. GREAT IMAGE tells a great
story from your passed life. :)

  • Tracey Mac replied

Do go on Woofy, I am totally captivated by what you see!! Thank you so much!! xx :)

I love your “darker” pieces, Tracey, and this one is stunning. It has a very exotic appearance, almost that of a harem concubine. The drape of your fabric, your dark hair, your pose and, in particular, the gentle expression of your left hand resting on your knee so beautifully illuminated by the light. Just one exposed eye as if you’re not sure of . . . ? The position of your right aarm subtly emphasises this feeling. I feel a sense of uncertainty, maybe even trepidation, in this haunting image – you are waiting to meet it head on! Your dark images always give me pause for thought – I think this one is your best to date.

  • Tracey Mac replied

Oh Jan, you say the nicest things, thanks so very much for such a beautiful comment and I love what you see in my images…....except maybe for the harem concubine part LOL!! Well then again…........might make life a little more exciting! Hugs!! xx ;)

I’m so sorry for the error, Tracey! That’s me at work saw something that struck my eye, saw navybrat’s comment and thought it was a reply. You can take that as the highest compliment!
