how are you able to knock on my daylight mind?
why do you glide through all of my rooms?
knowing I am always in the same room
seated on the same chair
are you trying to show me something?
do you want me to move?
I am frightened of the signs
pinned to uneven doors
I am terrified of the unknown
behind even doors with no signs
Signs of regret
Signs of pain
Signs of darkness
Signs of loneliness
Missing signs
If you are alive
why did I forsake you
to float inside my mind?
what happened to us?
if I promise to visit the even rooms
in search of courage
believing I shall find it
Will you then meet me in the room of pain?
Will you hold my hand as we walk through the doorway to regret?
Will you be my eyes as I come to terms with the room of darkness?
Will you accept my love and apology as I carry you over the threshold of loneliness?
I know you are dead
