Dreaming you into Life
Original beach image by my good friend Barssel
Dreaming you into Life
The sea spray on my face lingers, dissolving into my thoughts
Deliciously captivating to my fertile mind
My eyelashes murmur softly
Like grass on the dunes
Closing my eyes, I breathe deeply and dream you into life
You come to me now in this windswept cove
Seeking out treasures and wading through rock pools beside me
Searching grottos for memory jewels
We select precious shells to throw into the crystal bowl of days gone by
Tracing the waves gently teasing the shore
Believing we are the only souls on earth
In our own tiny moment of afternoon splendour
Setting sunrays tickling our spines
Warming our necks and conjuring up promises of things to come
Peering into smiling eyes and pools of understanding
Knowing, just knowing all will be as it should
Nurtured in the way it was dreamed of all along
As we glide along with our senses heightened
Sea air rushes in and around us
Mingling and entwining our souls
Like a pink fairy floss storm at the fair
Eagerly awaiting the fluffy candy of love
Fully aware of that tempting sweet aroma
The first taste begging to melt over our tongues
Like heaven and nectar rolled into a honey desire
The gulls cry out to us with encouragement
Watching and floating on morphed hopes and dreams
That spiral up like thought clouds from our subconsciousness
Hopeful of conquering the quest of ages
They dip and swoop through everlasting mirages
High on endorphins, caught in euphoric rainbows
Glistening with raindrop refractions filled with sensual gifts
Created in the wonderment of a yearning love from within
My sand covered toes curl in surprise
As the cool sea returns me to reality
I let my eyes wander lazily to the rocky balcony beyond
Wishing you were there waiting for my smile
Watching me dance over miniature waves
Stooping to scoop up another lost treasure
I tilt my head, my hair flying as if electrically charged
Imagining you calling me back to my hearts dream

Wow, your work is so soft and dreamy. It has a melancholic touch to it. I love this piece of yours, I can relate to the title….I even have a poem similar to this feeling, actually I have two that come close to this title. I’ll link them to you. :)
Erika .
I think this one is closer to the title.
