hi traceyanne, just did a search of rene magritte to check if i remembered correctly. i was partially wrong in that there seems to be no umbrellas in the painting. just men in overcoats and bowler hats as rain. it’s at the chicago art institute where i saw it many times. you can see it at allposters.com along with some of his other famous paintings. i used to be facinated by street paintings where the sky was day and the streets were in night. they have an example of those too.
