Shichi-go-san or 七五三 is a festival and traditionally a day for right of passage at the ages of 3, 5 and 7. Held on the 15th of November, originally it was upheld by nobility, but now is celebrated by most families through the whole month of November, to bestow their children with luck and good health.
This photo was taken at Atsuta Shrine in Nagoya, Japan.
