Artist's Description

Despite the pain and suffering in life, it is amazing that human beings have the ability and courage to move forward. Knowing we can be hurt, we still love. Knowing we die, we still care about the future. Knowing we will never understand why, we still have values and ideals. Living with pain, but separating it from suffering is hard to do, but worth the effort. I am trying not to let events that happen control my emotions. This thinking makes sense to me. I would like to move on quickly, to still live a fully engaged life, after a hurtful incident. After all, it is I who chooses whether to act or react. To let others control our feelings and way of life is to lose so much time that could be spent on feeling good and enjoying the beauty that surrounds us.
