Northport Power Station owned by National Grid is the second largest power plant in the North Eastern United States. The plant’s annual output of 5.2 million metric tons of carbon dioxide makes it the second most polluting power plant in the NorthEast. The plant was constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, using technologies which are now outdated .The plant is exempt from Clean Air Act emissions standards, it was grandfathered in when the law was passed.~Wikipedia

Words are not just words
they are kisses
on the lips of silence
that speak of your essence

and your words
are the most lovely kisses

Okay…I know I say this a lot about your work but this is wonderful….the presence of the bird is amazing..really cool.

  • Chris, you can say it as many times as you like. I appreciate your support and I’m glad you like my work. Thank you my friend.

Amazing shot of this old grand-daddy…though he sounds more like a dirty ol’ man from your notes…xx

  • Thank you Rosie, He is very dirty, polluting our air and water and eroding our beaches. Everyone seems okay with them, they have been here a long time. I cringe every time I look at them, wondering what they are doing to us.

wow! you can see this from your backyard! I had no idea. What a gorgeous image, tori. Well done – I’m surprised you don’t have these towers in every image!

  • The image does make them seem beautiful, but Nadine they really aren’t. They are huge and they pollute our air and water. I think they detract from the beauty of our shore. I actually hate that they are there. If you walk out and look east, they are in the far corner. Thank you my friend, I’m glad you liked this, but I think if you lived here you wouldn’t want them in your backyard.
