Are we so alone,
So distant,
So forgotten,
As we think ourselves to be?

These are our lives
But did they ever even matter?
Are we worth remembering?

We make mistakes
But we apologize with roses
We never stop to smell along the way

We fell from the sky today
We melt into balls of clay
We sell ourselves everyday
Don’t tell me how to live this way

Pushed so far to the edge
We teeter just on the brink
You can lead me to the bloodbath
But you can’t make me drink

Words are not just words
they are kisses
on the lips of silence
that speak of your essence

and your words
are the most lovely kisses

Your choice of words paired with this really sent me over the top. Right now, it’s difficult to comment (isn’t it always?). Profound, amazing …but not surprising coming from you. Right up my alley girlfriend, you sure know how to express the deepest part of what really matters. In awe of another masterpiece of yours. You talent and kindred spirit affect me so. Glad you are here, and your work always makes me feel less alone. It matters, as do you …so much.
    Love and hugs, shar xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxxo♥

  • Thank you friend. Sometimes I start out with the words, others with the work. Sometimes i star something and it changes completely from what I intended. Sometimes I wonder if I reveal too much, but really it just scratches the surface of my life. I think you do the same. It took you years to tell me where you lived. We are living in a parallel universe, I’m sure of it. Not everything is exact, but the feelings are true. Your work makes me fell less alone, too.
I wish there was a way of being with people that get you, instead of being with people that don’t. I have made progress with some of these people this weekend, which I learned it in the article I sent you. It was so easy, too. I didn’t respond at all in any way to their accusations, and crass behavior. Not one word. Not one phone call. I worked like a charm. I am glad you are here, too, and wish I had more time to read and view your work as well as he many great artists here. I have been so busy trying to run my groups, and do the artist justice. Thank you for your support, beautiful comments, and your love. xxxx

Profound, Tori—gambles, desperation, guilt, all these desperate thrashings in life. We are all so in need of grace and we rarely give it to ourselves, much less others. Wonderful and absolutely thought provoking. May we smell the roses along the way.

  • Thank you, Jen. I’m so glad to see you hear, and appreciate your thoughts on my work.

Amazing artwork Tori and profound words tipping the scales is getting more difficult everyday we are too busy not always taking the time to think things through questioning ourselves did we do enough or to much etc..and at the end is all of this necessary….

  • Renate, I am grateful for your understanding, and awareness. Your visits and comments mean a great deal to me.
Thank you so much for all that you are.
