Digital Art
PS6

I found this house while looking through stock images. It looks exactly like the one I grew up in. It gave me the shivers. I often dream about this house. The room on the third floor with the turret was mine. It was the coolest room in the house. I was very happy here, because I was on my own from an early age.

Who I am, and my ability to love unconditionally comes from raising my

children. Together we’ve learned just how important each of us is in our family,
and that communication is the key that opens everything. This legacy will now
be passed down to my children’s children, and the loss of family will end here.

I think this is a telling work Tori. Your strength and loving nature was what helped you to become the person you are now. Sometimes the path is full of obstacles. Overcoming is the gift. Beautiful work. :o)

  • Thank you, Bunny. I truly appreciate you. Sometimes I just need that. Someone to say you’re okay, I understand.

Powerful description Tori and of memories recalled by seeing something in this case a house that reminds you of your childhood and the wonderful lessons learned teaching your children the importance of family and a bond everlasting……

  • Thank you, Renate. For understanding, too. Sometimes when it really hurts, I tell myself " Life is real and sometimes it’s ugly and you just have to learn how to cope." Are we better for it? I don’t think so. Maybe stronger, though. I appreciate you very much.

The big cat in the window is telling. I think the cat would be the narrator to the story of this house and family. I like what Bunny said, “Overcoming is the gift”. In many cases, it’s really best to “never go back”.

  • We always had Siamese Cats growing up. They were loved very much, and they definitely would be able to tell the story. Overcoming has been a gift, and although I have made plenty of mistakes as a mother, My children know what it means to me loved and understood for exactly who they are. Going back is not an option, I just have to learn how to do that in my head. Thank you so much, Frannie, for your thoughts on my work. I always love when you visit.
