Across the world, an estimated 25% of mammals, 31% of reptiles and 33% of amphibians are threatened with extinction. One of the greatest threats faced by species today is habitat loss. The statistics are shocking and heartbreaking:
– 60% of the world’s ecosystems have been degraded
- 50% of the world’s forests are gone
- 67% of the world’s wetlands are gone
- 1.5 billion hectares of ocean floor habitats are destroyed every year

Words are not just words
they are kisses
on the lips of silence
that speak of your essence

and your words
are the most lovely kisses

LOL…there is so much controlled conflict in this that it speaks volumes!

  • Yes it does! No words needed! Thanks , Susan.

Tori, I love the way the subtlety of your tones and clean compositions allow the viewer to go straight to the message without distraction.
So much symbolism here, you allow us to put the story together ourselves.
    Which leads us to understand…
    Wonderful composite work Tori !

  • Thank you for your generous comment, Billy. I truly appreciate you being here.

i hear the words of a great song..“when will we ever learn”…
as the human race continues to grow in population it seems we forget to take into consideration how our actions take away their homeland…parking lots indeed…and a whirlwind of whys..
love this peace tori…and share the hope with you that we learn…xxx

  • The wildlife has grown here in Asharoken, it seems someone’s doing something right. I wish that could be world wide though. We often have the same hopes, Terri, for peace and love of nature.
It’s so good to see you here. Love to you!
