Fenrir's Moon

Every moon
The cravings come,
To shiver my skin.
Wolf awakes within .

I hold it under
Lock and key.
As Mother taught,
The creature’s caught.

It does no harm,
Though all is pain.
Craving need,
To tear, to feed.

A shame the apes
Don’t have the same
Strength of will
To refrain from thrill.

Taking pleasure
In others pain.
Without heed
To moral creed.

Perhaps this moon
I’ll set it free,
To cull the ape
That loves to rape.

The age of man,
Or the age of moon?
When Fenrir calls
The ape will fall.

Artist's Description

Allegory regarding the sociopathy of humanity and how it inspires rage within me. Ironically however,.because I believe in ethics and compassion, I generally don’t act on that rage, generally. I’m not really a werewolf, honest.
