Looks like it’s going to fall down the stairs any minute.
Quaint subject with great composition and contrast.
Anthony Vella replied
Hi Philip. It just did once. A car happened to hit it hard enough to pull it off its concrete base and roll it down the stairs. Thank you for your visit and kind comment my friend.

Howzit TONINU!
You have done a marvellous job in composing this very interesting shot to not only show off the subject well but to allow us to also see all the wonderful detail in the background.
As the old letter box is red, the clarity of the background does not detract from the subject and the tight framing helps a lot too.
Nice and sharp and with good light play, this Maltese street shot is a joy to view.

Anthony Vella replied
Hi Ellen. You surely know where this street is in Valletta. I’ve passed this mailbox by thousands of times bu only yesterday I noticed the right opportunity. I hope you had a nice stay in Malta and I’m sorry I missed you. You happened to visit during the MEP election period, a very busy time for me. Maybe next time. I’ll do my best.

Gilberte
Beautiful and interesting shot…I wouldn’t like to live near the stairs in case an accident happened
Anthony Vella replied
Hello Betty. Those steps have become highly polished through the hundreds of years of use and therefore are quite slippery especially when wet. I’d certainly keep away from them under such circumstances. Thank you for your visit and kind comment my dear friend.
