Bolwell Mk4 on the dummy grid at Sandown by

This shot of a rotary powered Bolwell Mk4 was taken at a Marque Sports Car Association (MSCA) sprint event at Sandown Internation Raceway.

The Mk4 was the first production model of Australian sports car manufacturer Bolwell Cars and was released in kit car form in the early 1960s. Engine choice was up to the owner/builder with most Mk4s having Ford or similar 4 cylinder engines, although some owners squeezed in Holden straight sixes and other higher powered engines and associated mechanicals.

Although over 50 years old, this Bolwell Mk4 still competes regularly in the MSCA Sprint Championships.
