I view a lot of peoples work, and what I always wonder is what is their favourite of all the photographs they’ve taken and why. So please leave a reason why your fave is your fave, maybe it’s sentimental, or because of the composition, or maybe you where in the right place at the right time…....
I’ll start, my favourite is Decay: moorings. I love the texture on the mooring, and the background is just the right amount out of focus. The background looks almost abstract, the layers almost surreal. The sky is so dramatic. When I took the photo the weather wasn’t so brilliant and I came away with this. One happy chappie.
Go on your turn.

Interesting concept, I am curious to see if the favorite works of my favorite artists coincide with their personal favorite works.
For me, my photo
is my favorite. It has been the best image of family since I purchased my new camera that the subject didn’t notice I was taking the shot and I was able to capture the moment as it was not some fake looking pose.

Ok so that didn’t work right, The link was supposed to go to my image entitled father figure. I’ll have to work on my linking abilities.

At the moment my favorite image is Beef and Carrots! To me, there is so much going on in that photograph, I just like it.
Other wise for me, I find it very hard to have a favorite, because, I just don’t know what sort of photograph I may be taking tomorrow? I know I have taken many images of Sophia! But I have the real thing, and she is so much more than the pictures I take of her, she is my friend and a sweet person. I hope that this answer is ok? Thank you for asking!

Geez mate ;) That is a BIG Question to ask.
One of my personal favs is Lament for a lot of reasons.
The biggest reason being the emotions behind the photo itself. It was taken at a time of confusion for me. I won’t get into the details, but there are a lot of things that happened at the time I took that photo (and how I took it and where I was etc) that all added to this emotional roller coaster I was riding at the time. The choice of the song and the band that sings it is emotional for me also. I think somehow that emotion comes through well in the photo (significant for me because the tree is dead and the sun is shining through behind it right where the limb is broken almost letting me know things are clearer once we move on). Oops, too deep ;)

Hard question, one of my fave is the triplet falls pic i took last year when i went away for a weekend whilst suffer a lot of stress. I also like the red door pic for its simplicity and what that can symbolise, opening the door to new things in your life. Im sure given a year or 2 I will have another fave that I have taken.
Cheers

Personally, I think it has to be my Ten Miles High
purely because it was a lucky, chance capture, which I will never be in the position to replicate. Choosing it was a difficult thing to do, as like Craig, I have favourites for many diverse reasons – the place, time, emotion, opportunity or just because I like it ‘COZ I DO’ and that is good enough for me. I’m finding it increasingly difficult not to put up on RB those which I suspect others will like, over my own favourites. I want to stay true to my craft, be it good or bad, so have resisted so far – but in the interest of sales and popularity, may cave in the end. I have many pics which I sell copies of off the office wall at work, these are the hobby supporters, and I treat them as limited editions. As soon as they go up here, they become ineligable for many competitions, and I like to keep a few back, and ring the changes in the portfolio now and again.
Cheers

Great question. Thanks for asking it. I have so many favorites. I am so dissolved from the process that every one that I am working on NOW, however bad it may be, becomes my favorite. However, “More Than A Man Can Take” is my most favorite of favorites. It speaks to me as an artist. I like the tones, the composition, and the color. Most importantly, it speaks to me as a human. I like the spirit of the image. Personally, I like most those image which are “worth a thousand words”. These are the images we more than glance at, we savour, we ponder, and we move on.
