View through the arch of the gates across the plaza to the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall in Taipei, Taiwan. The memorial honours the former President.

The structure’s exterior is blue and white, representing the sun and sky. The plaza in front of the memorial is a public recreation and gathering place and is frequently used to host large-scale cultural events and performances.

On the day of my visit bus loads of students were performing a line dance and musical spectacular in front of the memorial.

This shot was taken with my Pentax k-r on 4 October 2012.
