Cones In Motion by TonyCrehan

Featured in Artists Universe Group on 07/25/12

In 2010 I took a photo of “Cones”, a 1976-82 polished stainless steel sculpture by Bert Flugelman (born Austria 1923 in Australia from 1938) in the Sculpture Garden at the National Art Gallery, Canberra, Australia.

Whilst the varying reflections of the surrounding trees on the convex surfaces of each of the seven cones in the sculpture in different time and weather conditions make this an ever changing sculpture, I was interested to see it against a more dynamic background.

Original taken with Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH1 point and shoot.

Background replaced with painterly texture from Shadowhouse, colours changed and radial filter applied in PSE 10.

Currently working with independent schools in Tasmania
