These falls are in a small National Park area in the mountain tier behind the little coastal town of Snug ( Don’t you love the name?).

Snug is about 25 km down the Channel Highway, South of Hobart, and a single lane road leads to the start of a walking track down to the falls. The sign says 45 minutes return but having to negotiate tree roots and muddy sections, I took about 1 hour.

Not a huge volume of water flowing here but a good 25-30 metre drop over some interesting cascades to a pleasant little splash pool surrounded by rocks and dense forest.

A vertical panoramic merge in PSE 9 of 4 shots taken with my Pentax k-r on 1 July 2012.
