Strahan is a small town and former port on the west coast of Tasmania, Australia.
Originally developed as a port of access for the mining settlements in the area, Strahan was a vital location for the timber industry that existed around Macquarie Harbour.
Established in the 1940s, Morrisons Huon Pine Sawmill, on the Esplanade at Strahan, demonstrating the sawing and woodworking techniques used in earlier times is a major tourist attraction as well as a supplier to the local woodworking crafts and galleries.

Excellent detailed candid image
Thanks for adding this to your favourites Byron. I think that hdr is designed for these shots with plenty of light variation and intricate detail.
