Aerial view from a helicopter over the Table Cape Tulip Farm, on Table Cape near Wynyard on the North West Coast of Tasmania. This view is looking West from Table Cape over crop fields and pastures towards Boat Harbour, Sisters Beach and Rocky Cape National Park.

It was Blooming Tulips Festival Day at Wynyard and fortunately for me and my six year old grandson, the helicopter operator was selling 15 minute joy-flights.

Taken with Pentax k-r on 7 October 2011 at Table Cape, Tasmania.

Great colours and scene Tony,l bet your grandson enjoyed himself being able to get up in the helicopter

  • Thanks Trudi. Yes we both had fun. He sat up front with the pilot while I had a window seat behind them to take photos.

    wow Tony, awesome view mate!

  • I appreciate your comment Baz and thanks for adding this to your favourites Mate. I took hundreds of shots over the tulip festival weekend in October and I am just getting around to cataloguing a few more of them now.

    Such a beautiful shot !

  • Thanks Andi. The lovely contrast of the ploughed fields and blue water against the green really helped.

    so colourful, great work

  • Thank you Loraine. I missed some good shots because of the angle of the helicopter turning but this one captured a wide area with bright contrasting colours.

Beautiful Scene, I love aerial images

  • Thanks for adding this to your favourites Byron. I am very lucky to travel by air a lot but this was my first opportunity to get some shots from a lower altitude by helicopter.
