Shortly after leaving the Northern end of Hazards Beach the walking track winds around the edge of Promise Bay, passing several secluded little coves and inlets separated by rocky outcrops or headlands.
This one I found particularly attractive with overhanging trees, interesting rock formations and pools and a lovely outlook on the bay.
The beach and bay were named after Captain Albert “Black” Hazard and his whaling ship the “Promise”, which was wrecked there.
