"Cousin Bryce"

Pencil and Color pencil on 100 weight smooth bristol paper sprayed with clear laquer.

My cousin was killed in a helicopter accident at The Wheeler Army Air base in Hawaii on 5/27/09 in the afternoon. He and another pilot were testing the helicopter after repairs had been made. My cousins unit was training for deployment to Afghanistan. The helicopter they were in went up and then came down. My cousin loved flying and he loved helicopters, he will be missed.
He is the second child that my Aunt has lost. Her and Bryce were very close, he was born after the other kids had gotten older, My Aunt went through a hard divorce and major heart operation and her and Bryce leaned on each other in their difficult times.

Once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards…… For there you have been and there you will long to return.
