Homeless

There is nothing left of me
I’m just an empty shell
Not good enough for heaven
or bad enough for Hell

There is nothing left that I can give
they have taken all for free
Now that all the vultures left
they took my job from me

There is nothing left that I can do
to satisfy my life
I am left here all alone
Lost my children, friends and wife

Homeless and abandoned
the only change of clothes I ware
I sit and beg with my tin cup
in hope someone will care

And now the snow has fallen
as I sit here thin and pale
Tonight I will have warmth and shelter
They have taken me to jail

In the morning they will release me
when they open up the doors
I will be back on the streets again
with the drugies and the whores

There is nothing left of me
I am just an empty shell
Not good enough for heaven
or bad enough for Hell..

The sight of the Homeless
on the streets haunt me…
What would it be like
not to have… I for one am very thankful
for my shelter, warmth and food…
The Poem is as close as my imagination
would let me get to what I thought it would be like to be homeless…
