I am an artist specializing in solarplate etchings. Presently, my focus is on solarplate photogravure etchings from old photographs from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. My interest is in defining interior or exterior space, and then presenting the people, animals, or objects within that space. For several years, I was a successful pastel portrait artist, and before that I worked in pen and ink. My present direction was arrived at after completing a thorough study of my family’s history that was initiated and enhanced by old photographs.
