Forgive me things of life I do not, well, handle,
For the times I do not follow the imprints of Your sandals’,
For the times I do not bear prayer’s mantel,
For forgetting to show mercy’s mark on my door’s lintel,
For You see, I am not altogether mental,
Nor do I set my mouth rightly and tighten my dentals.
I even forget to turn in my due rentals,
Bear your hand upon me-
But please be gentle,
For I do not seem to handle
life’s matters any better than Mendel!

Amusing and soulful, which makes it all the more realistic and sincere.
