Wherefore are the gods of yore ?
Jupiter,Mars, many more….?
Who wrote them out from the score?
Mt. Olympus from heaven’s store?
Where shall our adulations pour?
To whom shall we give Blood’s gore?
Where are scribes to dictate lore?
Has the puny soul of man –
Took up their Dominion’s span?
Have they not heard , Son of Man –
Has brought down Salvation’s Plan?
Can they try to gain what was lost?
Only Jesus could pay Sin’s cost;
Forever remove Death’s Frost!
This is the Gospel’s great Lore –
He opened wide Heaven’s Door.
But yet narrow is that Path;
Few do escape Holy wrath.
Beg of you to do the ‘math’;
First, Adam strayed from par’dise –
Jesus then paid Heaven’s price!
